Here's what's scheduled this week

For those with games this past week, we hope you had exciting football to officiate. Bring your latest, "I've never seen that before" to the meeting this Wednesday for a lively discussion.

Live Practice Mentoring Sessions (Completed)
Our Carmel Catholic Live practices are completed. This first-time event (in recent history) was very successful and other associations, assignors and schools took notice. Thanks to Gio and Elias in building on our training and mentorship program.

Level 2 IHSA Certified Football Clinic @ Vernon Hills High School (Completed)

Last week, David Butts completed the NOA Level 2 IHSA Certified Football Clinic. We had 25 attendees, exceeding our expectations while adding membership to the NOA. Several non-members attended this worthwhile session coming from the city to attend. Thanks to Dave, Pete, Elias and Gio for bringing this program to our membership.

All new this week

Our regular meetings will continue for the next three weeks with the continuing series on Five Positions in Football Officiating. Elias, Gio and our team of experienced officials will broaden and deepen your skills over the next several weeks. Join us and invite a friend to this week's meeting.

REMINDER - still time to respond

Special Olympics of Illinois (SOIL)

Special Olympics Illinois hosts the Region A Flag Football Competition on Sunday, October 4th at Huskie Stadium at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL. Special Olympics of Illinois requested the NOA to reach out to its membership to request you to serve as an official on that day. This competition features teams from 5 northern regions in Illinois and 29 teams are scheduled to take part in the competition. SOIL plans to have games starting every hour beginning at 9:00 AM. Four games will be taking place concurrently.

Please feel free to share this with other Flag Football officials interested in officiating that day. We are always looking for qualified Officials who can enhance the athlete's experience while receiving the gratitude and satisfaction of service.

Basketball Meeting Request - Reminder

Planning is continuing for the Winter season Meetings. Anyone with suggestions should contact Jay Lampel or Jason Boston. The first meeting will be October 7.
