The Level 2 Classroom Clinic Session will be held on June 22, 2026, from 6 to 9 pm.  State Clinician and IHSA State Finals Official Rich Parsons will present the Classroom portion.  Rich will break down and analyze plays as well as conduct an on-court presentation of basic and advanced officiating mechanics.  Shot clock rules for 2026-27 Varsity games will be covered.

Attending only the Classroom Session will meet the Level 1 requirement.

LEVEL 2 ON-COURT OBSERVATION GAME SESSION

(Two dates to choose from)

June 23 OR June 25, 2026 from 4 - 8 pm

Warren Township High School - Almond Campus

A written evaluation will be provided for each official completing the requirement for the Level 2 Clinic.

In addition to Rich, game observers will include State Basketball Final Officials, Pete Androus (1 girls final), Eric Barger (2 girls finals), and Troy Whalen (3 girls Finals and Lake County Sports HoF recipient.)

The cost of the Clinic is $45 with details provided later to registering participants. Pizza dinner and a beverage will be provided on the evening of the Classroom Clinic Session.  Officials will be paid $15 per game (3 games) for the on-court game sessions.

This is a great offer as this Level 2 Clinic will cost you nothing if you attend the required sessions!  So come and join your fellow referees and continue to advance your officiating skills through learning and observations.

For those officials only wishing to attend a Level 1 IHSA Clinic, the NOA will be offering this clinic in October in advance of the Fall/Winter IHSA Basketball season.  NOA Members can attend the Level 1 Clinic over the course of 3-4 weeks as part of their membership in the Northern Officials Association.  Look for information on this clinic in the coming weeks.
