We kicked off with a well-attended meeting last Wednesday and are looking forward to the rest of our meetings. Here's what's coming up in the next few weeks:
Mentoring Sessions
On August 11, 13, and 18 Carmel Catholic High School has invited us to attend and work their football practices. This means live snaps with on-field training. We invite all newer officials to attend and learn and for veteran officials to attend and give guidance to the newer officials. Practices run from 5 to 7 pm. Carmel is located at 1 Carmel Parkway in Mundelein.
Come equipped with your official uniform (shorts OK), whistle, flag, and beanbag.

Regular Weekly Meetings @ Vernon Hills High School
Our regular meetings will resume August 12 and run every Wednesday through September 9 All meetings start at 7:00 pm with the exception of our clinic meeting which starts at 6:00 pm. On August 12, we will be reviewing the IHSA Level 1 exam; Bill Orris will talk about assignments, and Lenny Wotring will give us an overview of working the back judge position.
Level 2 IHSA Certified Football Clinic @ Vernon Hills High School
On August 19, NOA will hold its Level 2 clinic. The clinic begins at 6:00 pm. Those seeking clinic credit must attend the entire session. The clinic takes the place of our regular Wednesday meeting.
Social Event following Meetings @ Emil's in Mundelein
Finally, all members are invited to join us after our meetings every week at Emil's in Mundelein for pizza, beverages, and officiating war stories.
