Passing of Friends to the NOA

It is with deep sadness that we inform our membership of the passing of two important members of the NOA family.

Dick Kessler was an NOA Lifetime Member and Basketball Official of the Year in 1987. In 2007, he was inducted into the Lake County High School Sports Hall of Fame. Dick passed away at home on October 29, 2024, just 15 days after his wife and love of his life. Dick's family commemorated his dedication and love for officiating with the NOA emblem on the website commemorating his life. Follow this link for additional information.

Sharon Basovsky, wife of Rudy Basovsky, passed away on Monday, November 11. Rudy is a Lifetime and long-standing member of the NOA. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday November 23rd, 2024 at 10am, with Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 910 14th Street, North Chicago, IL 60065. Burial will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Follow this link for additional information
