The purpose of IACO shall be to foster and promote amateur athletic sports by providing for the recruitment, training and ongoing education of amateur athletic sports officials. The NOA is an IACO member and we should all take advantage of the training and education provided by IACO.
IACO Basketball clinic - The 48th Annual IACO Basketball Clinic will be held at Wheaton North High School on Saturday, November 9. The clinic will offer IHSA Level 1 Clinic Credit and is classroom-only based. The clinic will start at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at noon. Equipment vendors will be onsite starting at 7:00 a.m. Online pre-registration will run through November 7. The cost is $25 on-line and $30 at the door. This year’s clinic will allow participants to choose the speaker they wish to hear, based on experience level, topic and speaker. This year’s speakers incorporate officials with 35 basketball state final appearances, 10 IBCA Hall of Famers, 8 IHSA certified basketball clinicians and 6 current assignors.
